Planning BoardThe Planning Board is responsible for the Town's Master Plan and controls the development and use of land within the Town in accordance with the Master Plan. This includes the selection of land for recreation, open space, residence and business development. The board determines the use of our unimproved land for now and in the future. Anyone seeking to build a permitted use within the Town must present their plans for approval to the Planning Board to ensure the proposal is consistent with the Master Plan zone designations. Applications for non-permitted uses (variances) go to the Zoning Board of Adjustment for approval. Board Members are appointed by the Mayor and serve staggered four year terms. Alternates are appointed annually. Planning Board meetings are normally held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00PM at the municipal building, in the Council Room. For information, contact Board Secretary, Allison Witt at (908) 735-2275 or via email. Planning Board Agendas and Minutes
